A reliable breeder will ask questions of the purchaser to establish that their puppy is going to an appropriate home. The purchaser should visit the breeder to ensure that the puppy is coming from a reputable environment.
Good breeders will send you home with a wonderful puppy and loads of information. You'll likely stay in touch with them reporting progress and getting advice. When you have found that ideal breeder, it will be well worth waiting for the next litter.
